Sammamish Kiwanis Ski & Sport Swap – Registration Procedures
Kiwanis will provide the Inventory Sign-In Sheet forms* and S&SS Tags. The vendor will then be assigned a Vendor Number upon delivery of the items he/she wishes to sell. Kiwanis receives a minimum of 25% of the sales but you can choose to donate a larger percentage. (100% Donated items do not need to be recorded on the Inventory Sheet.~ One of our receiver volunteers will simply screen the items for compliance and tag them as Vendor #01 and put them on the sales floor)
Please see first the ACCEPTABLE MERCHANDISE GUIDELINES listed below.
Vendors will be responsible for filling out their own Inventory Sheet and Tags. Kiwanis will have volunteers to assist you as needed and then help you tag the items securely and tie foot wear pairs together (leaving length to test walk) Before the KIWANIS VOLUNTEER takes your item(s) out to the selling floor they must review your form and corresponding tags for complete information, secure your signature and give you your copy, reminding you of the cash/close-out time from 2:30 to 4:00 PM same day.
(If you wish to donate unsold items and cannot return between the 2:30 – 4:00 PM cash-out time, prearrangements can be made to mail payment for any sold items if you provide us with a self-addressed, stamped envelope at the time of registration.)
Tag Attachment
We have to track the items by their tags and if the tag becomes separated the sale is lost and nobody is happy. Please use solid fastening materials and heavy inventory tags that we provide.
Boots & Foot Wear: Fasten securely the inventory tag to ONE boot. Connect the boots together with string long enough to walk with both boots on.
Poles: Secure both poles together with tape, rubber bands, etc. Attach the inventory tags securely around one or both poles.
Skis/Snowboards: Tape (wide plastic tape) the inventory tag on the front end of a ski/snowboard. Do not tape skis together! Do not put inventory tag on plastic wrap around skis!
Clothing / Misc.: Securely fasten the tag to the item. Use heavy tags or tape the fastener to the inventory tag to ensure it doesn't tear off during transportation or during the sale. The tag must be attached securely to the item even if the item is in a bag or box. People WILL remove it from the bag and the tag WILL be lost making the item unsellable.
* Inventory Sign-In Sheet forms are available on our website for those who wish to get a head start on registering their sales items. (You will be assigned a Vendor Number and Item Tags upon arrival.) Go to www.Sammamishkiwanis.org and the Forms link and print out the “S&SS SignIn” pdf form. (fill out the header information and items you wish to sell with their description and price.) PLEASE BRING A DUPLICATE COPY. We will use it to complete your registration process.
